Timunnie, who is a cosplayer recently shared her “Spiral Girl” take to Instagram. The post features a headshot in which she is playing Azami. Her makeup appears like a scene from the manga. The famous spiral scar she is sporting on her face can be seen in the image. It is wrapped around her left eye, and it then is inserted into her organ. Timunnie’s face is rendered in monochrome to show the absence of color present in the original material.

Timunnie offers cosplay a fresh twist with a hijab used as a hairpiece. The shorter, black bob-cut that the character wears in the art. Two images are included in the post. The first photo shows her looking at her scar that is spiraling, and the second one shows her looking at the camera.
The costume garnered lots of praise through the comments. The costume received a great deal of praise. A lot of comments contained the expression “Keren Banget,” which is roughly translated from Indonesian to English to mean “so awesome.” Some replied with phrases like “this is insane” as well as “this is terrifying.” Many expressed fear after viewing the pictures.

Junji Ito is a horror writer who has written a variety of stories. His most well-known works include Gyo, Tomie, and Black Paradox. He has made several short films as well as novels. Azami’s character Azami may be appearing on the small screen thanks to Production I.G. Production I.G. is currently working on an adaptation of Uzumaki. The project has been repeatedly delayed and there is currently no date for release as of this writing.
